The 3.5% redirect — the primary mechanism
You can direct 3.5% of your Romanian income tax to Play Matters — a redirection of tax already owed, not an additional payment. The form is filed once a year.

We’re building the association’s shared collection: gifted games become played games, at game nights and at the festival. Bring one to an event or write to us.

Lend a hand
At our stage, time is the most precious gift. Concrete roles, per event:
- Table host — you learn a game beforehand and teach it calmly at the table.
- Welcome — the first smile someone sees when they arrive alone.
- Consent-first photography — you photograph only people who said yes.
- Set-up and pack-down — an hour before, an hour after.
The commitment, honestly: a few hours per event, no continuity pressure — you tell us each time whether you can.

Venue partners
You host a game night or a workshop — we bring the games, the hosts and the people.
Festival sponsorship
First-edition packages are being drawn up — write to us and let’s build it together. In return: visibility at the event and in its story, said plainly.
Institutional funders
In 2026, Cluj County Council allocated 4,000 lei (HCJ 92/2026 — Play Matters Academy) and 5,000 lei (HCJ 90/2026 — Play Matters Fest) to our projects.
