Science of Play

There is a mountain of serious research about play — but very little of it gathered in one place for a Romanian audience, with the sources on display. This shelf is our answer: reference pages that synthesise what is known, say where it comes from, and always separate the evidence from our own reading of it.

What this shelf isn’t

We are not researchers and we don’t offer therapy or counselling — we are careful readers who cite. Where the evidence is thin, we say so; where something is only our conviction, we label it.

A hand holds a printed Romanian feelings-and-needs wheel titled 'Emoții și sentimente în girafeză', a colorful circular chart of emotion words.

Why play matters: what the research says

What research syntheses say about play — interaction, learning, wellbeing — and, just as important, what they don’t say. With the source file in plain sight.

How the shelf grows

Pillars are written slowly and reviewed yearly — the next ones cover connection, learning and wellbeing, and they appear as they are written and reviewed. We don’t publish anything just to fill a shelf.

Every pillar page shows its sources and its last-review date. If you find an unsourced claim, write to us — we’ll fix it or retract it.
